Cedar is the perfect wood for indoor and outdoor railings, it adjusts well to all types of environments. Northern White Cedar repels against insects and is naturally moisture resistant.
The third factor is the size of logs you wanted the railing to be made out of. We typically use a 6" post, 3-1/2" railings and 2-1/2" spindles / balusters. We carry other sizes to suit your needs.
